The report found that Walmart is America’s commercial solar leader for the second year in a row with 89 megawatts (MW) installed at 215 locations. Other companies include Costco, Kohl’s, Apple, IKEA, Macy’s, and Johnson & Johnson. Combined, the top 25 companies have deployed 445 MW of solar capacity – a 48 percent increase over a year ago.

Commercial solar deployment totaled 3,380 MW at 32,800 facilities throughout the country the first half of this year – a significant 40 percent increase from last year. It’s a testament to the country’s growing adoption to renewable energy.
